ARMHS
Recent research had identified more effective and hopeful forms of treatment for individuals living with mental illness. These rehabilitative forms of treatment include a person's individual vision for recovery as the primary guide for determining goals and direction of care. Rehabilitative services focus on helping people restore areas of functioning that have been impaired by mental illness by teaching them the skills they need to successfully manage their illness.
The Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Services (ARMHS) Program at Community Involvement Programs values each person as an individual. All treatment planning begins with identifying the individual's personal goals and dreams, and collaborating with the individual to decide what treatment goals will be most helpful to support them in pursuing their recovery vision. ARMHS emcompasses a variety of services, including support to facilitate recovery, skills training across a wide variety of areas, assistance with accessing resources, and interventions with a person's community to help increase their chances for success. ARMHS meetings take place with a regularly assigned practitioner in the person's home and community setings to provide for hands-on learning and skills training in real-life settings. We provide ARMHS in Hennepin, Ramsey, Anoka and Scott counties. ARMHS is reimbursed through Medicaid for eligible individuals.
