Ruth Koscielak will be the emcee for our evening. She is a female broadcasting pioneer and one of the most well-known radio personalities in the Upper Midwest. Ruth grew up on the East side of St. Paul and is a graduate of the College of St. Catherine. She was the first woman in WCCO Radio’s seven-decade history to host her own daily talk show, presiding over the airwaves there for 17 years. In 1998 Ruth started her own business syndicating The Ruth Koscielak Show on AM radio stations in Minnesota. After realizing the Internet is the future of broadcasting, Ruth began podcasting in 2010 at www.ruthtoday.com. She and Kevyn Burger have created more than 50 shows that are available on the website, through iTunes, or via CD’s.
